Estate Administration
The loss of a loved one is often a devastating, life-changing event. Friends and family are grieving while trying to figure out what to do next. Did the person that died (the decedent) have a will? What happens to the decedent’s property?
Probate is a legal proceeding to administer property owned and titled in the decedent’s name alone to see that debts/claims, expenses and taxes are properly paid and that the remaining estate is distributed to those entitled to receive it under the decedent’s will or Ohio law.
As your probate lawyer, I assist with all of the official duties pertaining to the estate’s executorship. These responsibilities include:
-
Application to the Probate Court to be Appointed Executor or Administrator
-
Obtaining Bond if Necessary
